Cookie policy

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a short file that a website stores in your browser so that it can remember something between requests — for example that you are logged in, or which privacy setting you chose. Other technologies that store data directly in the browser (local storage) work in a similar way. For simplicity this document calls them all cookies.

The portal uses no analytics or marketing cookies without your consent. Until you give it, neither traffic measurement nor advertising tools start — only the cookies without which the portal would not work remain in your browser.

2. When we ask for consent

On your first visit a bar appears with the choice. Until you decide, no analytics or marketing cookie is loaded — only what the portal cannot work without is running.

Rejecting is as easy as accepting: both options sit side by side on the bar and carry equal weight. The Settings button lets you enable only some categories.

Consent is voluntary and the portal works without it. The legal basis is § 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

3. How to change or withdraw your consent

Use the button below at any time. The same choice appears and your new decision immediately replaces the previous one — tools you switch off stop loading and the portal removes their cookies from your browser.

You can also delete cookies directly in your browser, in its privacy settings. That removes the essential cookies too, so you will, for example, be logged out.

4. Which cookies the portal uses

Essential

Not required — the portal does not work without them.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4

Loaded only after you consent to analytics cookies.

5. Third-party cookies and transfers to the USA

Analytics and marketing cookies are set by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland). These companies act as separate or joint controllers and may transfer data to the United States. Such a transfer is safeguarded by standard contractual clauses and by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

For traffic measurement we use Google Consent Mode v2: until you give consent, the tools run in a mode that stores nothing in the browser and uses no identifiers.

Bot protection for the forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) uses no tracking cookies and runs without consent — it is necessary for the forms to be submittable and not abused.

6. How long cookies last

The lifetime of each cookie is given in the table above. The portal remembers your consent decision for 6 months and then asks again. It also asks again whenever a new tool is added.

7. Your rights and contact

Data from cookies is personal data only where you can be identified from it. In that case you have all the rights described in the Privacy policy, including the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.

The portal is operated by BestArtcic, s. r. o.; the identification and contact details are in the Terms and conditions.

8. Changes to this document

We update the list of cookies whenever a tool is added or removed. Effective from 4. 9. 2026.
